I spent my first decade as a motion designer mastering the craft of narrative — moving pixels to explain, promote, and entertain. But over the last seven years, my focus shifted completely. I stopped asking “how does this look?” and started asking “how does this behave?” — and then, “who do we need to build the answer?”
At monday.com, I built the Motion Product practice from the ground up — defined the strategy, established the systems, and grew a team of four motion designers embedded directly inside the product design org. The goal was to make motion a first-class product language: not decoration, but something that guides users so precisely they don't notice the complexity, and delights them in ways they feel but can't quite name.
